Window Well Drainage

Window Well Drainage That Keeps Water Out

Drainage That Protects from the Ground Up

Window wells can be a source of basement dampness and they can spill into the basement through the basement window.  To eliminate this problem, we will remove your old well and then dig down to your foundation’s footing.  We fill this hole with gravel up to 10-12” below your basement window.  If your problem is severe, we will recommend adding a catch basin and sump pump to your window well to pump the water out to your lawn or a dry well.  Finally, if necessary, we will replace your old window well with a new galvanized well.

FAQ

About Window Well Drainage

Yes, without proper window well drainage, water can collect and seep into your basement. A working drain helps move water away before it becomes a bigger issue.

It’s usually due to poor drainage, clogged or missing drains, or improper grading around your home. The company inspects and fixes these issues to keep water out.
The drain is typically located at the bottom of the window well and connects to a perimeter drain or sump pump system. If water isn’t draining properly, that connection may be blocked or missing.

No worries, we can properly install a window well drainage system that fits your home. It’s a simple upgrade that prevents water buildup and basement leaks.

We usually use clean gravel at the base to improve drainage and help filter debris. It supports water flow toward the drain while keeping things neat and functional.
