Foundation Crack Repair

Basement cracks are typically repaired with Hydraulic Cement, which is an inorganic material that reacts with water to produce a hardened and water-resistant product. Basement cracks are ground out to provide sufficient area for the Hydraulic Cement to adhere to the foundation. Such crack repairs work well on smaller cracks and will hold for a period of time on larger cracks, but are subject to failure when hydrostatic pressure becomes excessive. Usually, the best way to stop a crack from leaking is to fix the crack from the outside.

Larger cracks may require external waterproofing or replacement, in the case of blocks.
